Found M1 helmet today

Hey, I found an M1 Helmet with camo and post WWII liner. ($50)
The M1 is front seam schulter helmet, swivel bale. (Excuse my spelling of schulter, if wrong)

The camo, I am little puzzled on. It seams more faded then the other one i got, and seams to be different pattern. If you can please help me date these camo's for the m1.

I think they are both vietnam camos, any comments are weclomed

Both camos look to be Vietnam camo, Just picked a Nam helmet today!, Nice buy

hiya the first camo cover looks to be dated 1967 & the second one is dated 1973 all in all some very nice pick ups & all for a good price especially the M-1 helmet

should also say the 67 dated one looks to be made of twill fabric which are not that common

Yeh I was going to suggest early Vietnam for these. I have seen pics of Aussie soldiers who "acquired" these covers during the Vietnam war. Though not many as these were not on General issue to our boys. Just something a Digger would have swapped his Slouch hat for wiht a GI.

Can you believe that in the early 90's I was offer a M16 for my Slouch hat!

you got a GREAT DEAL the WWII era front seam shell with sewn / bar tacked WWII era khaki web chin straps, check under the helmet visor and look for a S the mid war front seam Schlueter shells are not as common, nice find!
