Cool Found the match! Front seam, swivel bail shell

When strolling on the antique market again, i suddenly got this indonesian military police shell. A suitable shell for My 1st US liner - Indonesian army MP liner
And i really excited because this is front seam, swivel bail shell! Really lucky and fortunate indeed.

Unfortunately it’s really impossible to search the hear stamp. The paint is too thick.
And i see the remain of red paint?

May they live happily ever after.

This is a similar helmet looks like in 1960's

Front seams are rare in general, but fixed bails are much harder to find. Still a good solid helmet to pick up whenever you can.

How about transitional shell like this one? Is it rare?
Because in here, it's easier to find front seam-fixed bail. Wartime made rear seam-swivel bail is really difficult to obtained because euro-clone m1 is really abundant.

I'd say transitional is rare. I've only seen a few and I'm not limiting that to just American helmets as I've seen traditional German as well.

    Ah, i see. Thank you.
I guess my only way to obtained that wartime rear seam swivel bail is by searching the stainless steel rim ones. I guess i have to check that shells in the market one by one.

Jeeze how lucky is that to match it up, you must mated it up with the original shell. I wouldn't go to say that a stainless front seam swivel shell is rare, but what you have there is rare! Lovely finds
