Hand drawn Helmet unit insignia

I have an early M1 with a Hawley Liner there is a feint insignia hand drawn on the front it is a large square with an x in it and four x's in each triangle. Can someone please help me with indentification?

Better and more pictures are needed. Hawley liners are the most wanted, and fetch a lot. I'd like to see it.

I can't tell much from the picture, but look up a 6th Army Group patch and see if it resembles this in anyway.

Terry that is the only Unit it resembles. Thank you so much, I had no clue where to start. It is so faded it is hard to see. Stil not confident it is but at least a similar design.
