The answer is simple: no. What differs is the rim curve (McCord shells have more pronounced curves in the rim). Schlueter was ordered to produce shells with the exact same heights. If not, the liners wouldn't fit as the most important thing about the M1 is: onze size fits all.

Schlueter started production in 1943 and made fixed bale helmets for a short period of time before switching to swivel bales in 1944.

Thank you for yor reply, do you know if schlueter helmets saw any action during ww2 or were they to late to get in the war ?

Schlueter helmets did see action in WWII. They produced about 2.000.000 helmets in their plant in Missouri, they're therefore far more rare than McCord shells. About 10% of total production. They discontinued production only days after the war's end.

    Cheers,
    Ken
