No issues I can see; front seam, fixed bale with a post-war repaint. Looks like a McCord and based on the lot number, manufactured circa late 1943, early 1944.
Guess it depends on the price. I'd say if more than $50 (which is on the high end), I'd hold out for a better example.
Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $20-$25, but then again, I'm cheap....

I'd pass on this and wait till, if you are just looking for a shell, you find one with original paint and chinstraps. There's just too much gone from this one in my opinion.

Ha! I'm cheap, too....
The only reason I said that is I'm not sure where docroe lives. FS/FB M1's can be easily found in the US however he may be from another country where they are not as easily obtainable and therefor command a premium.
