    Default Junk shop found M1

As the sales are on,The other half decided it was time to pop to town with my Son.
A few hours later my Son rung and said that he had got bored and had gone wandering on his own and found a helmet in a junk shop.

He tried to describe it over the phone and in the end he just said its like the ones I have at home,I asked the price and took a gamble.

This is what he brought me back,Thanks Son.

One bad point,Looks like a Biro ink stain,But has a nice Firestone liner.

Other than the one stain and a few scratches on the outside, it's in
    really excellent condition. Nice find.........!

Excellent helmet, looks to be factory original paint, personaly I would not worry too much about the ink.
It's a rear seam? A nice clean liner too. What a find. Congratulations!

    Best Regards,

    Andy

    Hi mossie,

You could try using surgical spirit on the biro ink to remove it. Put a small amount (don't soak it) onto a ball of cotton wool and dab (no rubbing or scrubbing) it on the affected area. Keep changing the cotton wool as it takes up the ink so you don't end up spreading it around. It's a labourious undertaking, but does work on biro ink on paint. Just test a small area to start in case there are problems, but I think you'll be o.k. and it will improve the appearance of the shell.

    Regards, Ned.
