    Hi Guy's.

Here is my latest Evil-bay purchase, which I can only describe as, a weird set up

Late war shell, with "Custom" chinstraps, early 70's liner, late 70's / 80's cover (I don't know what it mean's e.g. DPDO EXCESS ??????)

I like the paint job. No dead straight edges to the letters, and it looks all the better for it.

    Hi Harry.

    Thanks mate,I have been reliably informed,on another forum,that this lid,is suspect.....Maybe redone,for a reinactor, or similiar.

I do not think it's original, but the shell it'self is late war, rear seam(1945 +) a real kettle of fish this one, funny enough it's the helmet cover ,I found the most interesting, due to the ,markings.

Collecting lid's a funny old game
