Article about: hello, i have gotten a couple leather straps for the liner and they all are broken in some place but totally complete. is there anything i can do to put them back together and making it the

    hello, i have gotten a couple leather straps for the liner and they all are broken in some place but totally complete. is there anything i can do to put them back together and making it the least noticeable. i thought some kind of glue.

    There is not much to do about it as my colleague have already written. The value, both historical and monetary will decrease if you fiddle around with them. If you think of keeping one for a helmet you can try and do a repair of some kind. I would get some original Wehrmacht repair thread and make a few stitches. At least the materials for the repair will be period WW2.
