M1-C Rear Seam Paratrooper Helmet - 82nd Airborne
Article about: A recent pickup, a named rear seam M1-C with bar tack sewn on straps and a welded Lieutenant's bar affixed to the front. It has been repainted, but it has what looks like cork texture under

The shell was probably a post war issue - it is believed that rear seam M1C helmets were not used during WWII.

I think some of the late 44 ones with the stainless rim may have made it into the pipe line in time for the war. Ray

I was curious as to the maker of the original damaged liner,if you could let me know jim,also the heatstamp if possible many thanks.......
