M1 Chin Straps
Hey Guys. My first post on the forum!
I'm new to M1 Helmet collecting (always collected Brit/Canadian Helmets) so forgive my newbie question...
How difficult is it to find the correct chinstrap for my wartime front seam fixed bale McCord shell? I don't want a reproduction.
What is the value of originals, and how difficult are they to source? ebay is festooned with them, but I assume most are reproduction?

Hi and welcome original sets do show up now and again on ebay,prices usually $50-$80 depending on condition etc,keep watching "M1Depot.COM,steve the website owner has sold a nice set for $75,drop him a line he might have something thats not on display,worth a try,best of luck...............
i agree, m1 helmet depot is your best bet, usually just see late war chinstraps pop up on ebay
