Default M1 Fixed Bale / Front Seam - McCord / Westinghouse

I'm pretty sure I posted this one before but couldn't find the thread.

But this one just had a slight upgrade, so I thought I would take new photos that it deserves.

A big thanks to Jake for sending me this beautiful net. THANKS Jake!!!

Still need to fiddle with it to get it on just right.

But anyway...from my notes (happy to stand corrected if I'm wrong) here is the description:

WWII M1 Fixed bale, front seam rough cork finish. Shell: McCord Radiator, Liner: Westinghouse. Liner marked (inside of back support webbing) A.M. Stay Corp, W-199 QM-33326 Small. Helmet stamped 546D near inside front seam.

Anything I've missed please feel free to comment.

Thanks! It's flat as a pancake. I think it is replaced.

    M1's aren't a helmet I know much about.

Edit: I noticed I said it had the early buckle. I mistakenly used that description from another helmet I have when I was copy/pasting the description.,sorry guys....I will edit it out

Thanks! It is a nice one. But as noted, I'm less than a novice with M1's. So hopefully it is all good. I've had it for a number of years.

Pleasure's all Mike, you do plenty here for others, that Buckle is the Iron variant which replaced Brass july-43-june-44 and that Heat stamp is within that time frame.!so is correct, this variant was produced in flat and raised versions exactly how the former Brass types were made, these were actually more difficult to produce, the net looks great mate..............

Excellent information Jake. And yes. The condition of the net matches perfectly with the condition of the helmet. Thanks again for everything!
