    Hey folks,

I recently picked up this cool helmet. A soldier left it at farmhouse during the liberation of The Netherlands.. close to the german border near the city of Aachen. So I guess somewere around sept/okt/nov '44. It has been in a collection since the 80's. Could be from Old Hickory, 29th inf, armoured div, tank destroyers, red horse.. those divisions liberated that area.

It has some really nice wear and I believe it's never repainted or messed with. The shell is stamped 71B, does anybody know the maker?

    Thanks!

Not easy to pull down a specific unit as there are many it might have been. Nice pot, shame there's no liner.
