    Default M1 helmet

I bought an M1 helmet a while back and I can't figure out what era it is. It has the sanded shell and the liner is dark green. The bales are swivels not fixed and there rectangular. tIn the top inside of the liner there's a cross and US 75 or either 7 its hard to make out. Its a rear seam and the heat stamp is just 631.

Sounds like a Korean war era or later however photos of the interior and exterior of the liner and helmet would help to confirm this. Liner is a Capac.

The liner is post Vietnam. The helmet, however, could be Vietnam era or even earlier. Would need to see photos of it, though....

Hi, 724 - you'll also need to get a leather headband for the liner.
They are quite easy to find and not very expensive.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

In addition to the leather headband, you'll need a nape strap to make it complete. Easy and cheep to come by as well.

1960's onwards M-1 shell with a 1970's onwards liner you could buy the chin straps & a cover to complete it for a display piece.
