    Fantastic liner Westinghouse made very limited numbers of these liners, the helmet seems to be reissued postwar. I was told the anchor mark was a manufacture in the 50s

    The Anchor Brand manufacturer was existed way before WWII or, even before WWI.

    Here is one important example:

    An early M1936 Map case strap. (Notice the large square buckle)

    The buckle was engraved ANCHOR BRAND PAT. JUNE 25. 1912 !

    However the anchor on the M1 liner chin strap buckle emerged after the war, another objects that have an anchor mark on are the post WWII equipment strap hooks (identical to the above example).

    good find. a ww2 m1 shell with a ww2 camo pattern liner just sold here on australian ebay for a lot. i had my eye on it.
