Default M1 helmet, good pictures are a must

This is why good pictures are a must.
I bought this helmet thinking it was a black camo helmet that was dip in anti gas paint because of the pictures.
But when I got it in the mail the helmet look totally different no black paint but green and the brown mark on the rim came off .
The helmet still has the ww2 OD but the liner was used post war I think 1958.
Still for 50$ not bad.Not what I was going for ,still a good helmet.

From quick googling I think it's an abbreviation for a training camp, I'm guessing it stands for something like US Army Training Camp (Center?) I--- no idea what the "I" stands for though

    Thank you .
I just look some more and found it.
United States Army training center infantry.
1956 was the start of the training center in for dix.
So the date of 1958 for the helmet usage would be correct.

Nice Chris. Pictures really do make or break an item.

But, at least it turned out to be an Interesting and Historically significant helmet from the early early days of Fort Dix, so it wasn't a Total let down!
