M1 Helmet liner or something else?

Hi guys

I've got this "helmet" which has left me scratching my head. My first impression was it's a liner for an M1. However it looks too big and it does not fit the M1 helmet I have. The inside looks like resin or fibreglass. The outside scratches easily.

Does anyone know what this is?

It appears to be an Iraqi M-80 composite helmet. I have never seen one with that type of chin strap configuration before.

I think you are right. Doing some quick research on what you said it looks like a Korean made helmet.

The chin strap seems to be a paratrooper configuration and the Iraqi army did have paratroopers but only seen pictures of them wearing the polish para helmet. You have an interesting piece there
