M1 Helmet - McCord Shell with Capac Liner

Hi All,
Here is my recently purchased fixed loop M1 Helmet. This is the third of four items I set out to purchase this year. I guess I'm a little ahead of the game!

Shell maker is McCord and based on the heat lot number, date of manufacture is late 1942.

It has a Capac liner and believe date of manufacture is 1944 based on the style of washer (brass painted black).

The shell and liner are in excellent shape, with the helmet reataining over 95% of it's corking. Some minor stress cracks on the rear of the shell, but it will still display nicely.
