M1 helmet US 29th infantry div, real deal?

Hi all! I saw this 29th infanty helmet sold on ebay for around 450 euros. When it was on auction I thought it was a fake so i didn't make an offer. Was I wrong, was it the real deal? Opinions are welcome

I would say that insignias on liner and shell look fake to me

Based upon real examples that I own and others that I have held, in my opinion the insignia are too big, especially on the liner. I would say the insignia are not period applied. Jim G.

One the price is much too cheap, 2 the overall ware of the helmet does not match that of the rank insignia on the front, I would go with this one being a repro one must look very hard to find an authentic painted helmet now a days

Jim is Correct the size is wrong too big.
Never seen a original like this.
