M1 Helmet us navy

Hello friends,What do you guys think about this helmet?

I think it has real character, the patina and stress fractures add to a very collectable M1 IMHO.

Looks like a US M1 to me, with character,
Is the helmet yours or are you thinking of buying it.
If it is yours I would be interested to see what the heat stamp number is if its readable.
The reason I ask is the fact that it seems to be a front seam manganese rim, I have seen a couple of others like this. And have read somewhere that there was a four week run of these, where the proof comes from I have no idea. But if the lot numbers were around the same there may be some truth to this idea.

Hello friends,It is a front seam and I can't see the heat stamp because it is very rusty.

this looks like something that probably came out of a old decommissioned navy ship? that was scrapped, probably all rusty from long term storage and exposure to the damp salt air environment.
