Hi there, welcome to the forum. The whole package is Austrian, 1960's ish onwards. I can tell from the chinstrap buckle just visible on one of your photos.
Thank you! Would you recommend it for ww2 american loadout?
Well, the liner is comfy, if you're willing to butcher a nice 1960's helmet to change the chinstrap for a wartime repro, you could pull it off. A repaint/retexture would be needed too.
Thank's I've heard though this helmet shell is 100% American late war. But shipped to austria is that true?
Not guaranteed. Post shots of the shell. Check the rim for any stampings, and the frontal dome for any number/letters. If the dome has a HEAT stamp (Number/letter combo) it's probably of American origin.
Not very likely I'm afraid. I suggest reading this thread: http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/us-m1-...c-shell-22931/
It's still a nice helmet, and I suppose could be used for reenactment (your goal I presume).
Thanks you helped me alot! Well it was worth it and I happy to know it would be ok for american loadout. Well spent money I wouldn't know this if not you!
Thank you again case is closed!
