    Looks like someone's been doing a bit of reinactment,waste of a perfectly good liner IMHO,the liner itself made by the MICARTA DIVISION Westinghouse is commonly known as the m55 or p55 type produced from 1955 to 1963.............

    Interesting liner , Jake hit the nail on the head with the era, I have seen WW2 liners with these type's of modifications used by the French, but do not think this is the type I have seen as mentioned.

    Nice that it has a named sweatband ,perhaps the previous owner could be traced.

    Liner post war reworked the leather chin cup does not look right, a total mess for me

    thanks guys. number on sweatband is 19663824. it would be interesting to find information about that G.I.
