    Hi all,

    Need an opinion on this lid. Do you see any pitfalls?

    Heat stamp looks like 321A or 521A, Nape strap looks like it has another colour tone than the rest of the webbing.

    The liner looks okay, but the shell seems off to me. The color is much too lime green. At the very least I'd say it was repainted and reissued post-WWII.

    Compare the paint and texture on mine:

    The 1960s-1980s would be my guess.

    Please don't take my word for it just yet... I'm still learning, too!

    I thought it was postwar at first glance as there's literally no texture at all,where's the cork gone?most likely worn away and repainted as the shell looks a little too fresh considering its lost so much texture.......Jake.

    the shell is a WW2 made Schlueter shell as already stated repainted/reissued post war the liner is a nice WW2 Westinghouse with a post war sweatband
