Default M1 shell - Help Please

This rear seam helmet, as far as I can tell, has no heat stamp. And seems, when viewed from the side, the silhouette is different from a standard M1. To me it looks to slope more sharply. The only markings are on the buckle ball mechanism and reads "UC 2".
Any help with this one will be appreciated.

I think it could be a Danish or Belgian M1 clone.
