Got this baby at a garage sell today and only paid $5!!!!! Front seam, stamping on inside is #187. WOW!!!

a front seam for $5.00, you stole it, the straps cost more than that, front seams bring more money because they are usually early ww2, I'm pretty sure rear seams were later. great deal.

With an early number like 187 it is possible that it began life as a fixed bail shell...probably refitted with swivels like many were. At least it looks like there are swivel bails on it now. Very nice buy!
