Default M1 style helmet shell dated 1953

    Hi all,

This one has come in with a few other helmets. It is has a maker stamp and a date of 1953, but I cannot make out the makers name. It does not look quite like the same shape as a M1, but has an american style chinstrap.

Any info on this one would be really appreciated.

    Many Thanks

Hi Paul , Jake hit the nail on the head , incidentally the maker's mark is Menesa which are fairly scarce for the M-51 so an even more collectable example in my opinion.

Forgot to add that there were many French makers of these shells and liners, also many differant types of chinstrap attachments were tried and tested, ask Gregg he's a big softy for these.........
    With Regards Jake.
