    Evening all. I picked this up today for a reasonable price. I’m not knowledgeable on American helmets. Is this Vietnam era ? On the shell print it has 1980 for its first 4 numbers, is this the year of manufacture or just a number code?

    Looks like it is missing the 3 point mounted nape strap. Is the chinstrap hardware anchor marked? Rich A. in Pa.
