M16 with m31 liner and funny paintjob
Greetings!
I stumbled upon this M16 shell, but with m31 liner and strange fixed bails-strange and suspicious combination.
It appears to be size 66 or bigger. This funny paint and decals are applied somewhere in 60s,and it was used as movie prop (famous yugoslav partisan movies).
It also appears that it has its original WW1 paint underneath (at least it looks like that,on the photo of inner side).
What are your opinions,is it worth a shot? Any ideas why does it have those bails?
If I take it,I'll peel off this "movie paint". Seller asks 100 euros.

Re: M16 with m31 liner and funny paintjob
Hi and welcome. This part of the forum is for USA M1 helmets, If you put your thread up to german steel helmets section you may get better replies, its right at the top of the home page. I made the same mistake when I joined.
best of luck

Not much history left in it but the components are worth more than 100 euros IMO.

Also a warm welcome from me too!
But... you need also to use the forum picture up loader at the bottom of the page.
Other image hosting sites can make your thread useless, when they disappear!
cheers
