M1C helmet insignia

Article about: Hi guys just wondering if anyone knows what this unit insignia is. It's off a late WW2 M1C helmet so probably used post war. I've done a lot of searching of insignia and my eyes are turning

    Hi guys just wondering if anyone knows what this unit insignia is. It's off a late WW2 M1C helmet so probably used post war. I've done a lot of searching of insignia and my eyes are turning square now Haven't come close to finding anything similar. Thanks for looking

    Late/post-war 504th PIR. They were used in the 1946 homecoming parade in NYC.
