Another little gem to the collection, but had to sell a couple to soften the blow.
one of the last McCord Fixed Bales produced heatstamp 697B around sept 43.
The hardware is blackened steel replacing Brass from july 43.
Has a stenciled name to rear and remains of Yankee logo to the front.
The liner is a late 42 Firestone made with unpainted steel A washers.
sweatband is a minty green 43 made with clear production stamps.
    Nape also clearly marked.
The leather chinstrap is dry and twisted but is of the second olive drab on steel type.
Hope you like it.has that nice honest combat worn look to it.
    Thanks in advance..............

Type 2 Raised Brass Buckle most commonly found on Helmets within the ETO.
Type 3 Flat Black Painted Steel Buckle.

Many thanks for posting it to the forum Jake the Yankee Logo on the front is just top notch as to the stenciled name on the rear of the helmet I have seen this before on Navy issued M-1 helmets but think it must be rather uncommon as I have seen very few period images of US soldiers in the ETO that show stenciling on there helmets a nice pick up that I would gladly display in my collection.

    Regards Mark
