I obtained these from a national guard armory that was closing down. These were found in the back of a supply room on a shelf with a couple rear seams. The green one looks early painted due to the gloss. The red was for shooting range control cadre. 42nd Maint. Bn. which was disbanned in 1992. Note the stress cracks on the rear of the red lid. The green lid amazingly still has the khaki chin strap. My M1 front seam collectionMy M1 front seam collectionMy M1 front seam collectionMy M1 front seam collectionMy M1 front seam collectionMy M1 front seam collection

Unfortunately no. There were no liners on that shelf, pity. I have a couple of early 1960's liners to use until I get some WW2 models.
