My new M-1 i shall call him frankenstein

hiya guys

well this is a new addition the the collection an M-1 that seems to be made up of so many different parts thats why its nicknamed "Frankenstein"

its a repainted front seemed McCORD swivel loop shell heat stamp 871F, one side of the chin strap clip is painted green & the other one has been replaced at some point with the blacked version theres no anchor on the chin strap buckle & the liner seems to be an early 80's version.

so there you go guys meet Frankie

p.s. dose anyone no what those stamps on the inside are all about as ive never seen anything like this before

Nice Nick, I too have a Frankenstein. For U.S. it's so easy to make one and everything has been interchangeable for a run of 45 years! I still love them.

It looks like a Canadian ( 70's/80's ) M1 type example, of which
I have several with the name written inside and duck tape residue,
but I've never seen stamps like that before..........

I can post photos for comparison here if you'd like.

so the WW2 shell was reissued to the Canadian army at some point in its life wow they really did get around
