Named Vietnam era M-1

hiya guys

got this today a very well used Vietnam era M-1 with airborne liner it has the name PVT L H WILKINS both on the shell & cover but i haven't been able to find anything out about him ??

the cover is dated 1970, the chin cup (i will probably remove this) on the liner has been added recently as its very new compared to the rest of it & the "A" straps look like they may have originally been tucked up between the webbing out of the way & not used ???

the rubber band is also newly added as it looks new & has no age to it as well as i don't think it would have lasted very long anyway as its not very thick rubber so i'll probably remove this as well ??

well ive removed the rubber band & the liner chin strap & tucked the "A" straps up inside i also found what looks to be his name stamped on the shell chin strap as well
