Ok, I have a WWII US M1 pot (fixed bale, front seam) with a strange paint scheme. It looks like old paint, but I'm not familiar with the design... can anyone tell me anything about this paint scheme???
HELMET HEAT STAMP #195C
Thanks in advance!

Photos didn't post.....
That's very odd... I've never seen something like this before. I'm eager to hear what other members have to say!
This is odd, i never seen this type of paint scheme before maybe it a post war done paint (it seems like it to me). We will see what some of m1 helmet collectors say.
Wasnt there a strange paint scheme used for POW guards, i seem to remember seeing something about it , either a photo or an article somewhere
Looks like a paintballer's design to me.............!
Regards,
Steve.
Sure is something different,it does look like it has been there for a good time.
never seen something like this before.
I would say some type of camo pattern ?
chris
Not sure what it is but I don't think it's been painted up for paintballing or anything like that, it looks likes it's been there for a while, as Chris pointed out! Gonna watch this thread close and see if someone comes up with a good explination.
