NEED HELP rear seem m1 paratrooper helmet?

Hi I'm new to the forum but not to militaria I am 15 and i need help with this helmet i recently bought this from a friend and I was wondering if it was an airborne helmet or an m1 with fake paint? It is rear seem and i need help.

I think the helmet and paint is post ww2 but im not 100% lets wait and see what other people say but either way its a beautiful helmet! - Nick K

Would need better pictures of the paint job.But I would say post-war.

Thank you so much for the help Chris my friend told me its was most likely a Korean was helmet that was just painted over I knew it was to good to be true.

Agreed post war done, paint from pictures look like referbed for korean war.

Still a good starter helmet.
Airborne helmet with the insignia are very very rare and collector go crasy for them and spent top dollars.
A 502 airborne helmet sold for 70000$ at auction last year.

Well i guess thats why it was sold to me for twenty dollars hahahaha but do you think the paint was put on during the korean war or after it.
