    Hi Guy's.

Heres my latest purchase, and boy does it need some work!

One Front seam M1, lot's of welded repairs, liner in need of re-webbing, ( or turning into a Hanging basket ???) Got a PASGT cover with it. So that will find it's way onto my spares box.

It was cheap, not so cheerful, but now I have an excuse to hide in the shed, for a bit,and start restoring it.....

Visualise a "Mad scientist" type, with lots of cork flying everywhere, khaki paint on the cat, swearing, crying, lot's of hot tea.

And voila, one fully restored M1,........ well that's the plan!

As they say watch this space, and I will post the results

    Hi Danny.

Cheers Mate, I must remember to take photo's as I go, and not get carried away ,and try and finish it one go...I'm too impulsive.

    Hi Mate.

I know, can you imagine how I felt, when I took it out the the box

Still the bonus of it being a Front seam ,kind of made up , for the neon colour, I got this lid super cheap, with the idea of restoring ,so I'm dead chuffed with it, this morning it was stripped, and has an anti-rust undercoat applied, and is drying in the sun as I type.

As always, sage words from the M1 Guru, Cheers Bugme.

Well, stripping this one was about the only thing you could respectfully do to it. Besides, if it's solid, it'll make a good display re-creation or nice reenactors lid.

M-1 Guru?... yeah right, the great bugmeenie has spoken.
