Hi, can any of you experts tell me whether or not the helmet pictured is WWII era, and completely original? Also, what type of helmet is it (what model)?
Sorry for the somewhat blurry photos.
Thanks!

no its not WW2 the liner looks to be Vietnam era the chin strap is late 70's early 80's the shell could possibly WW2 reissue ??????
The front split seam with the swivil bails were produced in 44 and 45. After that the edge seam met at the back. The color is definitly WWII. Some one has adapted a jerry riged chin strap on the steel lid. Definitly not issue.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. So from what I'm reading, the pot is late WWII (44, 45), but the liner is not? Is that correct?
So my next question is, is this set worth the $65 being asked by the person wishing to sell it to me? What would you expect to pay for this set at a show?
as i said the liner is Vietnam era the shell looks like it could be WW2 reissue & no its not worth $65 try more like $20 to $30 at a push IMO.
Thanks everyone. I appreciate the input and advice!
This helmet set-up with this style of chin straps is a late 80's configuration. The helmet itself is a reissue late 40's production.
