real m1 marine helmet cover?

i saw this helmet cover and wanted to know if it is real. the symbol on the front looks like it was done later. what do you think.

from those pics i cant tell if the cover is original & im not sure why the EGA stamp looks so black better pics would be needed to figure this one out ?

there might have been a older ega under the one thats on it now. maybe somone has gone over it with a black marker. the cover seems to have the right camo pattern. but to be 100% need to see stiching both sides of cover.

I saw this one on eBay and I believe it is a 53 date stamped cover. At this time the 53 covers are not faked. The EGA did it in for me though. Too dark. I think someone ruined a nice cover.
