Nice Marty. And to a Bronze Star winner no less!!!
Is this a new pick up?
Interesting camo to the liner. Original or post war school kid art?

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

No everything is original to this helmet. Camo painted liners were common in the Pacific. This one came in today, I was at the post office before they opened waiting to get it.

This navy chaplain helmet has the rank of Lt. on the front and I have not been able to find a helmet to compare it to until now and i was floored to find a picture showing one very similar.

Thanks, Michael it’s nice when a photo can be found to prove a design of helmet that has not been seen before does exist.
