US M1 Helmet - Genuine or not?

Hello Gentleman, Im a new member here and thought I would post some pics of my M1 helmet for your review. I have never post pics of it before and bought it about a year ago or so. Can you please give me some feed back on its authenticity and if genuine what period of the war would it have been used.

My findings I can see are as follows;
fixed bale, front seam,
marked inside shell: B – l – QM (stenciled in black)
Pressed Stamp under visor: 644 and 91B (I think a McCord stamp)
Liner has marking inside top that reads: 13 and CAPAC - for CAPAC
Manufacturing Company
Cotton headband marked: HEADBAND SOLDERS STEEL
HELMET LINER QM (CTM)
72216.E.61 8415 – 153 – 66Z

You got an original shell, early version to. Fixed bale were made in 1942ish. The shell maker looks like to be a MC cord. (don't see an S)

Thanks Franz, Im glad it looks like I didnt get stiffed on this buy. I also have a USA crusher that Im going to post when I get time to take some pics.

Thanks Nick, what is it that makes the head band post war? Do you think the original could have been that worn someone has replaced it?

yeah, is that a 61 date on the sweatband, not that it hurts the value, I found a black sweatband, no date, but it said - USMC on it, feels like it had extra cushion in it. it's really comfortable, but it was already in my liner,but I switched it out & put it in my ww2 marine cammo covered helmet. but you have a really nice lid, the fixed bales are getting expensive. thanks for showing it.

the headband was probably worn out so they put a newer one in it, no big deal really, I had to put a sweatband in one of my liners, it was worn out & the metal clips that hold it in was rubbing my head, it hurt.

wrong colour WW2 liner head bands were khaki not green.

It is a 61 on the head band crazy horse, Im pleased to hear that it doesn,t detract from the overall value though. Not that i plan on selling it, I would just like my collection to be as genuine as possible.
Thanks again Nick, that makes sense seeing as the rest of the bands are khaki. It stands out now that youv'e explained it to me.

Nick, I got my marine helmet out it is double stamped capac also, but the A didn't show up very good, that is odd, any others i have , if i'm right aren't double stamped?
