US M1 Opinions

Could you M1 collectors please give me an opinion on this M1.
M1s are not my strong point but ive always wanted a WW2 example.
Is it any good and is it WW2 or Vietnam era ?

Liner is good and the shell and straps are good, but it's a repaint inside and out

Yes it's WW2 but the paint most likely is not, you can't better that liner though!

the helmet is WWII but this could be a Vietnam era repaint

Very good condition late ww2 liner.
As already said, Early ww2 pot repainted more than once.
Not a 100% sure on this but the pot chin strap looks later than when the pot was made as it looks like it has painted black steel hardware, I think early fixed bales had brass hard ware.
Perhaps someone will correct me if I am wrong.
The net looks very new as well.
All the best with it anyway, whatever you decide.

Hi Mick,I would leave well alone,too many alarm bells ringing im afraid,and its reflecting in the bid price no one is taken this set too seriously?regards minnie.
