US M1 Vietnam era?

Hello, been offered this M1 nothing special here. Anyone with more knowledge dating it? The guys says he thinks it's vietnam era because of the white writing which doesn't make sence to me. What would a reasonable price for such a shell be? Looks to be battle damaged in the dome.

Vietnam era, but almost relic condition. Anything more than
$15-$20 is nuts IMO - plenty out there.........
