Nuno, I have just seen a helmet painted exactly the same as your liner, it was being worn by an NCO who was directing troops as they were embarking on a landing craft from the beach in the PTO. He was directing them through a loudhailer. It was on one of those ww2 "lost" film shows on the history channel, and was in colour. Could it be some kind of beach party designation, like the white bands worn on helmets on D-Day perhaps?

    Best Regards,

    Andy

Sorry Nuno, it was a TV programme on the History Channel. I think it was called "Lost WW2 Films" or something like that.

    Hi Andy, no problem.
Yesterday i watched some episodes of ww2 lost films and i spoted that.
But it was on the helmet.
So i wonder if the helmet that originally had my liner, was also painted orange?
And if it was indeed used for that.
    Cheers.
