Who was the author of the book? I'm in contact with most all of the authors on helmet reference books.

A silly question but when was lead removed from paint?the reason i ask is if lead was removed less than 30 years ago or something like that then maybe this would pass but doesnt automatically mean its 70 years young, the ageing seems to vary some what on differant parts of the Helmet.........still like it,has screen presence.........hope it is genuine...............

    Hi
I think the lead has been taken out of paint for more than 30 yrs now, i have seen like most of us medic helmets with a yellowish ting to the white paint through age, but then have seen them as this one is so i think it,s up to the experts to tell us.
