Vietnam era medics helmet?

Hello! I recently picked up this m1 Vietnam helmet shell and it has a black cross on the back and a red one on the front. I am wondering if it is a medics helmet or what? Any help will be appreciated

Without a Liner it would be unfair to call it a Helmet,a shell with a cover alone doesn't amount to much,apart from two hand marked crosses applied.

I thought I saw this one in an Antique shop in Adamstown PA.
The liner with it was a Lancaster Police helmet liner.
I could be wrong.
If it is the same one it did not look like a good one to me in person.
Again, if it is the same helmet.

Yep it was the one at that antique shop! haha small world. I know the shell and cover is original however, I am guessing somebody told him the liner was a police helmet liner and he removed it because when I purchased it, there was no liner. Thank you for your posts everybody!

The police liner was in it when I looked at the helmet at the store.
I kind of liked the police liner but didnt really want the helmet.
It is a shame you didnt get both.
You could have sold me the liner for $20 and made some of your money back.
I go out that way on the weekends to the flea markets there in Adamstown.

It would have been nice to have some sort of liner :/ but the shops do have alot of pretty decent items! I plan on checking them out again within the next few days!

A liner for this helmet should be an easy find.
I see them up here for $10 quite often.........
