Vietnam M1 arrived today

Article about: Thanks everyone for the kind comments

    Default Vietnam M1 arrived today

So I got home from school today to find this at my door. Was full of dead bugs and old spider eggs which I cleaned out( I HATE spiders.) It's a pretty well used and beat up liner and cover, I didn't take the cover off the helmet for obvious reasons. Every thing on this seems to be original and I also found a name on the liner band! I don't think the seller noted the name either. Some thing chewed at the chin strap but it's still solid. The name is Charles S. Anderson with name right under it. The number is ER 13860333 or ER 13360333. The shell appears to be on the Vietnam made ones too.

Nice, salty lid with a 'been there-done that' look.

    Good catch.........!

Thanks guys! What's great about Vietnam stuff is that it's still somewhat easy on the wallet. I've tried researching the name in it but with no luck so far

I love vietnam stuff as well not only because of the cost but i know a ton of combat veterans and love taking in their stories with the enemy.

I mainly collect helmets but I do sometimes buy field gear, I've got a Vietnam web belt with two ammo pouches and a compass pouch, and then someform of field gear sack that hangs under the little 'backpack' thing(haven't looked at it for awhile but I know it's dated 74)
