Re: WW2 helmet? when it comes down to it its your lid to do with as you please for me personally if it were mine I'd leave as is the only thing i would consider changing would be the liner sweatband to either a WW2 version & maybe try to remove that D Q off the front.

If you can read the number stamped in forward steel shell make a photo of them.
In the liner you have some letters & numbers stamped, make a photo of them.
Post the photos & I give you the date of fabrication & the fabricant.
