Found at a small Partisan museum, most of the guns still work (up-down-sideways) so I had me a hour of fun
Here's the label Made in Canada
Great holidays mate, however for a museum, those seem to be very poorly treated.
This "small partisan museum" together with another one in Crete, contain a wealth of relic weapons, in various conditions, are NOT state museums and are the work of civilians who for ages and ages gather all militaria concerning solely the Battle of Crete (May 1941) and the events following it.
Cretans are very fond of their weapons (relic and modern).
It is the sole part of Greek peninsula that after you got acquanted with the locals, drinking raki (Grappa like drink), if you are lucky enough, you will see excellent P-08s, P-38s, Kar98ks the whole lot...
It is a common secret here in Greece, that even a working condition german tank is hidden somewhere in Crete...
Regards from the land of the Gods...Thanos.
I cant see them coming to much harm in the Greek climate, I love Greece, I've only been to Crete once, had to stop in Heraklion on the way back from Saudi Arabia a few years back, I would love to have had a look around but there wasnt enough time. The Greeks are some of the freindliest people I've met, I chatted to one guy for an hour in a car park because he saw me looking at his late Jeep when he was about to drive off.
Hi guys, this is an awesome find. There is another member who found in Chalkidiki a PAK in the sea. I would like to see that restored
