    Default KGB Shoulderboards

Here is a set of shoulderboards that I've had for quite some time. I was told that these boards were for the KGB ceromonial guards that peformed guard duty at Lenin's Tomb. Is this information correct?

    Thanks!

OKP were worn by the Kremlin Regiment including the guard at the Lenin mausoleum. These were used 1991-1993 and the decree that instituted the wear of OKP shoulder boards was given 16 December 1991.

Actually these shoulder boards were presumably issued mid-1992 and were first worn simultaneously with the "GB"-State Security- boards before replacing them completely.
These were effectively worn by the honor guard at Lenin Mausoleum from mid 1992till Fall 1993 and for the Kremlin Regiment from mid 1992 till 1996.
