Hi Tom and welcome to the forum!
The Verwundetenabzeichen is an original made from zinc. I'm not sure on the maker but I'm sure someone will be along to help with that. In terms of value I would estimate it around £35/€40/$55.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
