I don't know if it is actually green paint. Obviously the badge is corroded and perhaps this was a reaction to the original base-paint. I like your badge and the maker is harder to find, I think you did well.

it is not extremely common. it's on the rarer side of BWBs.
but if you want to go RARE and get one that would be an excellent mate for this one at the same time, find yourself one marked "EH" only. no other mark.
unless you're extremely lucky, it's gonna take you a while.
you mentioned earlier that you received a comment that it had this "look" as though it had maybe seen battle.
this is what i appreciate so much about this particular BWB you have. it really has this character that is so nice to see.
WBs, as mentioned before, can be so addictive. there are endless variations as to condition and makers and finish and materials. then there is the character of each badge. i find them wonderful to collect.
you have a really good example there both in terms of the marks and the character of it.
