Very nice find. Be careful as some find these adictive. Whistling as I type.

i was examining my BWB earlier, and upon holding it under a light that simulates sunlight, i noticed that it looks like it has had green paint applied to it, or could it just be an optical illusion from the patina?

    Hello there,

I don't know if it is actually green paint. Obviously the badge is corroded and perhaps this was a reaction to the original base-paint. I like your badge and the maker is harder to find, I think you did well.

Thank for you the reply, after rethinking my earlier conclusion, i would agree that it is just corrosion!

I have heard from some that it is a less common maker, then from others that it is extremely common!

it is not extremely common. it's on the rarer side of BWBs.

but if you want to go RARE and get one that would be an excellent mate for this one at the same time, find yourself one marked "EH" only. no other mark.

unless you're extremely lucky, it's gonna take you a while.

you mentioned earlier that you received a comment that it had this "look" as though it had maybe seen battle.

this is what i appreciate so much about this particular BWB you have. it really has this character that is so nice to see.

WBs, as mentioned before, can be so addictive. there are endless variations as to condition and makers and finish and materials. then there is the character of each badge. i find them wonderful to collect.

you have a really good example there both in terms of the marks and the character of it.
